Kitty Deserves to Eat Well Too!
Recently I read that dog and cat foods contain ingredients that you wouldn’t believe! ‘Meat Meal’ so vague, so mysterious, so gut wrenching. Road kill? euthanized cats and pets? Garbage? Literally , all of that has been found in pet foods – so do your research! Know what you’re putting in your little fluff’s mouth. Animals are targets for cutting corners and adding secret ingredients, because ultimately they have no voice – just another way to take advantage of a living creature, all to make an extra buck.:(
Audrey my female kitty is 3 years old – she adores canned tuna every morning and night – and lettuce with olive oil and vinegar in the afternoon. What a healthy girl. After all, cats deserve to eat well too!

I do not have a cat or a dog but i am sure your sensitiveness in this matter would touch people’s conscience. I feel it is similar to the issue of organic foods versus conventional food. One argument is that organic foods are not economically feasible because mainstream consumers care little about its benefits.
Thanks! & I agree. Eating well is not for those on a budget… It’s easier on the wallet to ‘drive thru’ and get a few paper bags for the family – instead of cooking up a nice healthy meal. However, There are always ways around it – I think if people understood the benefits, they would go out of their way to make it feasible.
How cute!! A cat that likes lettuce! Perhaps you know already but i hear that tuna is a controversial food for kitties!

haha yeah, she’s definitely a cutie!! I’ve heard of this – - of course it’s not so good for humans to eat from cans ( I don’t) – So I guess I shouldn’t be feeding little kitty – She is definitely addicted and looks forward to her feedings.. I realized it was too much so now instead of a quarter can, I give her a few flakes. I need to stop it though – -it’s just so hard when she is so excited morning and night for this event lol – she starts screaming lol and rubbing up against me.. wakes me up even! Just need to cut it cold – same with going outside – she loves obviously being outdoors – and the first few times i let her out she stuck around in eye’s view – but now she ventures off into the ravine which isn’t safe. But now, of course she cries , first for tuna, then for outside – I’m just a suck…her cries touch my heart and I give in. Need to be a more stern mother! hehe.
Ohh I feel your pain… ours is also addicted to dry kibble since we went on vacation. .trying to put Blue on a diet and she’s such a nag. Starts sqauking at 5 am but we managed to hold on till 7 am today. Good luck to us both!
I feed my dog organic kibbles that are made with ingredients I would eat (salmon, eggs, blueberries etc).
I think it is very important and his health benefits from having a better diet.
He sometimes steal kibble from the dog next door (they live food on the porch!) and is usually unwell afterwards
Organic is certainly the way to go! That’s great..
It’s hard to keep food bowls away from other animals.. at my dads we there’s 2 cats and a dog – the dog is constantly trying to eat the cat food, and I’ve seen the cats stealing a few kibbles from the dog sometimes lol
Your cat is such a sweet pea ! I wish my cat ate salad!
haha she is indeed, thank you. Maybe you can toss her a leaf lol see if she takes it.. I don’t know if it’s the olive oil or vinegar on the salad that mine likes.. haven’t tried giving it to her dry..all cats love anything green though.. must be some digestive need – after all, they eat boring old dry food every day..must not be good for digestion.
Haha yeah! i’ll give it a go with a salad leaf
Thanks for the advice! Look forward to reading more Kitty posts!

My sweet cat, Oberon (who passed away several years ago of old age) loved to eat cereal out of my bowl. He would take a bit then I would take one. He also went crazy over the green tops of strawberries. It makes me sick what companies put in animal food – yuck!
